Hi there,

I'm running my 1070s on Ubuntu Linux.  How can I install the BIOS updates there?  Download files seem to be windows-specific.

After the latest BIOS for 08G-P4-5173-KR (86.04.50.00.70) has anyone still been getting "Your computer is running low on Memory" error. Resource Monitor has Ram (16 GB) at 50% when error arises. This only happens when gaming with the 1070. Never happened before. I have GPU clock at default and I have in game on Ultra. Log file info is below. Page file is on C drive at 800 MB. Shared video memory is 8162 MB. Thanks!

A video card bios update shouldn't have anything to do with your PC running out of RAM.

Could someone please tell me (if there is a way) how to determine which memory my 1070 SC has, Samsung or Micron, without removing the cooler? Thanks

there is a free program called TechPowerUP GPU-Z. its free and a small dl. just run it and itll tell you what memory brand yours has along with other info like driver version, clock speed etc etc.

thanks, I reassured I have Samsung ram

Hello @akibeel
I found the fix for it if you have an AMD based system?
Contact EVGA 1-888-880-3842 and they will email you the file, it will be 6276ORS.

Follow the instructions as you did with the file update.exe you downloaded. Just do 6272ORS first, reboot then apply the 6272 that you originally downloaded.
It will work! I had the same exact issue.

Good Luck!
