here is some testings on my ftw.
i flashed the secondary bios one, of course my card is micron vram.
2200mhz vram is the highest overclock i can get without problems on old bios.
after flashing the new bios, i am now able to get higher vram overclocking from 2200mhz to 2300mhz without problems.
i tried 2400mhz and it gives me checkerboard shown, only reboot can fix it.
i tried 2350mhz in gtav and i got crashed and reboot.
i tried 2300mhz in gtav and it seems fine as i just tested about 20mins.
i tried 2300mhz in running fire strike extreme, with the same oc settings like before except the vram overclocked to 2300mhz in from 2200mhz.
same oc settings except vram is 2200mhz
300w zotac bios is using, aio is using
core clock is 2152mhz most of the time
video clock is 1797mhz.
max and locked voltage at 1.08v
evga new bios with the same oc settings and vram overclocked to 2300mhz.
core clock is 2152mhz most of the time.
video clock is 1797mhz.
max and locked voltage at 1.08v
20mins gtav without problems
overclocking gap between micron and samsung is now getting smaller, although 2300mhz on samsung vram should be a piece of cake in general. nice to see the micron improvement.
