It worked: +500 on mem and it passed 20 minutes of heaven
Dont think I will push further
Still bad overclock on a core (only 2025Mhz stable).
Any advises on this matter?

My card got to 2015mhz boost out of the box, guess you were just unlucky?

sometimes cards can't even overclock 50 mhz more than the boost out of the box... so his gpu core is just fine

Is this BIOS also recommended for EVGA 1070 FTW with Samsung Memory chip?
Have no problems until now (slave BIOS, no overclock thus far)

I have a FTW version running stable at +650 memory and +100 core, with Samsung VRAM. Tried to push to +700 in memory and +100 core clock but it couldn't handle.
I was not knowing about the issue with micron's VRAM, but luckily I got a Samsung model, so no need to update here.

can confirm it works. Micron mem couldnt get more than +300 without complete pc crash. just did heaven for 10+ mins with a benchmark with no crash with +500. think im happy with that. might mess with it more later

Hey,

I flashed my GTX 1070 FTW primary and secondary correctly and double checked everything. But I got still the problem that the fans in the primary bios, which should be the "non-aggressive", are spinning at idle. Can anyone address this problem or tell me if evga is on the case?

Did you restart the pc after switching the bios?

Yes several times but the problem still exists. I tried to correct the fan curve, but the fan curve behave the same as on the secondary bios.

I thought about to reflash the bios but I am not sure if this will solve the problem.
