Hi.
Accidentally I found on the internet this topic:
overclock.net/t/1589410/evga-750-ti-acx-cooler-twin-fans-noise-fix

I decided to try similar BIOS mod on my EVGA GTX750Ti SC, and it's work!
Fan is passive in idle and active under load.
Is there any risk of damage the card?

I have 44-46C when browsing the internet, and 65C under heavy load (Unigine Heaven)- that's lower than semi-passive EVGA GTX950 ACX 2.0 SC with very similar cooler.
I set fan start temperature = 54C and the smallest posssible difference between TMP11 and TMP12 to limit the period when power is too low to spin up the fan to minimal rpm (26%).

Here are my settings:

hello,

I am trying to accomplish exactly what you are describing, but am having trouble. Here is what i did:

Pulled stock bios off of my evga 750ti superclocked using gpu-z

opened bios with maxwell bios tweaker, made very similar edits- i am willing to let the card get to 65 before active cooling.

flashed using nvflash command line, success.

Fan still spins all the time. To verify flash was successfull, i pulled the bios using gpu-z again and opened with maxwell tweaker. everything looks to be in order but fan is still spinning even with card idling at 28.

Perhaps there is a setting i am missing?

Comparing our screenshots, i now notice the difference in bios version- yours is 82.07.25.00.50.

Is that what came stock on your card or was it from somewhere else?

Just keep in mind that unofficial or modded BIOSes may void the warranty.

  • "Unauthorized changes to the BIOS or Firmware on graphics card that do not have a Multiple BIOS option may cause this warranty to be null and void."

Yes, i understood this going in. I dont think i own any computer parts or electronics that still have a warranty. I just have to tinker with everything, or at least open it up :)

Yes, 82.07.25.00.50 is my stock BIOS.

Here is my BIOS to download- you can see all settings in Maxwell BIOS Tweaker 1.36:
speedyshare.com/SMd4U/GM107.rom

I overclocked my GPU to stable 1411Mhz Core, 6200Mhz Memory, 1,1625V Vcore, 73W Power Target, P00 Profile: 1529Mhz for GPC Max., XBAR Max., L2C Max.
I used Maxwell BIOS Tweaker 1.36 to edit.

I think it's not working on your card because:
1) 65C could be too high (try 54C at first, remeber to stop your card in Device Manager before flashing- you need use iGPU to screen display when GTX750Ti is stopped)
or
2) You probably flash GPU-BIOS in Windows and I'm flashing in DOS

To flashing in DOS I created USB drive with:
- NVFlash 5.163 for DOS:
techpowerup.com/downloads/2569/nvflash-5-163-for-dos
- HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool 2.2.3:
softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/HP-USB-Disk-Storage-Format-Tool.shtml
- Windows 98 system files:
files.extremeoverclocking.com/file.php?f=196
- Instructions how to create pendrive to flashing GPU-BIOS in DOS (in Polish, too difficult for me to translate):
elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic1177481.html#9148619
(You can try to find similar solution in english).

Even if you create that USB drive, you may have another problem.
There are 3 versions of BIOS for EVGA GTX750Ti SC:
- 82.07.25.00.50
- 82.07.32.00.50
- 82.07.55.00.50
Flashing BIOS 82.07.25.00.50 is possible in DOS through NVFlash 5.163.
Flashing BIOS 82.07.55.00.50 is possible only in Windows through NVFlash with Certificate Checks Bypassed:
techpowerup.com/downloads/Utilities/BIOS_Modding/
I don't know if 82.07.32.00.50 can be flashed in DOS (like 82.07.25.00.50) or only in Windows (like 82.07.55.00.50).

It is possible to use different versions of BIOS than stock (from the same card).
I used 82.07.25.00.50 and 82.07.55.00.50 when I overclocked my EVGA GTX750TI SC.
But semi-passive version I tried only with stock 82.07.25.00.50.
Change the version of BIOS is possible only by flashing in Windows through NVFlash with Certificate Checks Bypassed.

PS. Sorry for my bad English.

PS2. The fan on my card is spinning when I turn on the computer, but after a few seconds- when Windows is loading, it stops.
So, you must always wait a moment after flashing and restart to check it is work or not.

Model numbers are important. Model names don't mean much. BIOS versions only show that there are differences, but you can't know the differences easily without knowing each of your cards model numbers.

Not all versions of 750Ti have software/BIOS control over the fan. Please start by posting your video card model numbers. "SC" isn't a model number. "02G-P4-3753-xx" is a model number.
