Reword your title. It is very misleading.

How is it misleading? If nvidia is only optimizing for sli then that clearly means 3-way & 4-way aren't getting optimizations.

Then fix the thread title. Its misleading because it sounds like Nvidia is only supporting SLI with the newer cards

Also SLI in 2,3 or 4 way is still considered SLI so not sure what you are saying.

lol, watch the video bro. SLI = 2 cards, 3-way sli = 3 cards, 4-way sli = 4 cards.

https://en.wikipedia.org/...calable_Link_Interface Since you are unaware of what SLI is

When a person says SLI they mean two cards. Saying SLI and meaning 4-way SLI is incorrect.

OP meant 2 cards, and if you watch the video, the guy said 2 cards as well.

The OPs thread title is misleading. Should state Nvidia only supports 2-way SLI on 10 series cards

I'd need another source beside random Youtube guy. After all, it does have two SLI fingers. If it was for certain limited to 2-Way, there would only be a single SLI finger on the PCB

It is not limited to 2-way, but officially it will be limited to 2-way, I supposed at the drivers level?

The guy is a reviewer I believe, so he probably has some good info.

I agree. He isn't just a random guy. He is a reviewer like sadclown said.

Go to 7:05 of the video so you can understand where Sajin is coming from in the title of the thread.

Could be, but I've never heard of him. The thread title is horrible. It should say, 'Rumor is GTX 1080 is limited to 2-Way SLI'. Further in the video, he doesn't say they are limited and cites there are 3-way bridges. So...all in all I rank this as interesting but unconfirmed.

Not really. The video doesn't say they are limited and he explicitly states there are 3-way bridges. What the video is trying to say is that Nvidia is *admitting* 2-way scaling is the best. Well, duh. Who doesn't know this already?

Until nVidia reveals the full specs everything is rumor. Here is the exact point in the video if anyone wants - https://youtu.be/uWvmt9wk0n4?t=427

IMO though the way nVidia removed support for 4-way SLI and how poorly SLI drivers have been lately I do believe it.

That would be worse wouldn't it? It does have 2 sli fingers.

Indeed. That would imply along with his statement of 3-way bridges that this entire thread is misleading.

The newer bridges only support SLI. Not 3-way or 4-way.
