Question- I want to flash the new Bios, but I can't seem to get to set-up, pressing DEL does no good, goes right into Windows in a matter of seconds, my drive is a Samsung 950 Pro,( and yes it is fast).
My concern is that if I flash the new Bios from Windows the instructions indicate going first to settings in Bios and setting defaults.
What if I can't get there? Is flashing from Windows workable leaving my current Bios settings as is, or will this cause problems?

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hey bud. Just update it inside windows. Go to the download, and run the .exe file. It will do all the work for your :-)

I would suggest resetting the bios prior to the update.

Thanks- update in windows works and it is fast. One important reminder, if using M.2, remember that when resetting BIOS it is very sensitive to having exact settings, otherwise it can get really 'lost". Happened that I missed one setting and after saving and exit, went to black screen with blinking cursor. Took 5 tries to get reset and back into set-up screen.
Now all good.

Thank's for the update... this allow me to push the beast a little further!
Maybe because of the ram... I don't know!

and boot the 5.2GHZ... but it freezes instantly when I start a bench! :P

What software do you use for reading Vcore on Windows 10 64bit?????

What board? If you are on the classy then I would use the voltage readpoints dongle and a multimeter.

How is D-Die compatibility now? In terms of running really tight since when I last tested it was definitely finnicky running very high or very tight. I will be testing the non-K OC with some B-Die and hopefully get some good results with dice and ln2 :)

I'm on an Stinger!
I need a better motherboard to push it even more!

For now, It's my best résult with this setup:

CPU: i5 6600k 3500Mhz @ 5100Mhz(51x100) 1,5v(drop 1,496v)
MEM: G.Skill f4-DDR4 2400 cl15 1,2v @ 2800Mhz cl14 1,3v
MB: EVGA Z170 stinger

and max screen:

Pretty good I think! :P

Holy crap!!!  What do you use for cpu cooling?  I'm guessing a custom watercooling loop?  And what are your temps like during Prime95?

I have found that the EVGA Eleet X utility gives a pretty accurate reading of the CPU Vcore on the Monitoring tab.  I'm currently running the same processor as you, with a Corsair H110i GT on it, and getting 4.8GHz @ 1.35v.  Had to bump the voltage up over 1.4v to stabilize @ 4.9GHz, and that pushed my temperatures too high.

I see Vcore still isn't reading right with CPU-Z.

I tried E-leet and it gave me readings 0,13v below bios Vcore (after reboot)....

E-Leet, Aida64, hw monitor, cpu-z, core temp, XTU, OCCT, etc.

All gave me bad reading!

My watercooling setup:

Two itx setup side by side + a full atx on other side! ;)

Are these worth it improved memory performance seems so since I'm running 3200mhz memory?

I just came from old legacy 780i FTW bio's can someone please post how to run the bio's in steps from windows I figured it would be listed done searches but noda. This is all new interface to me and almost a decade behind on flashing with new boards and bio's lol.
