Does anyone know if an Intel 750 pci-e x4 SSD will work on the evga X79 motherboards?

Edit:
I found some posts claiming it will work on some ASUS X79 mobo's.
A BIOS update with UEFI version 2.3.1 or higher would fix this for any X79 mobo.
So it comes down to EVGA ... will we get an updated UEFI bios soon?

Yes, all EVGA X79 MB's support full UEFI. You shouldn't have an issue with PCI-E SSD's

As long as the drive itself is fully UEFI compliant. I have some older Crucial M4 drives that would not trigger the Raid 0 screen with either my X79 FTW nor My Dark. AHCI mode worked, but not Raid 0.

In theory it should work fine, granted I am not sure why it is not.  I will look into this, I know we are not planning on any more X79 BIOS updates, as the  chipset was discontinued from Intel, but I will see what I can do with this.

That's sad, but maybe X79 cpu prices will finally come down.

There shouldn't be any problems as long as you are in UEFI mode.  Confirmed from engineering.  Now if you are having issues, can you be really specific about the issue, also screen shots would be helpful as well.
What slot(s) have you tried?  Also, when it is plugged in, is the drive detected in BIOS?  It should show in the top where other PCIE devices are shown, as well as how many lanes are being used for the SSD.
