7.4.27 is why, you need to update to 7.4.36

Also we had a day or two that the Pool Server was down. When it is down you should suspend Bitcoin Utopia in the BOINC Client.

Do you have GPU suspended in BOINC Client? If so you cannot compete tasks.
Now if you update to version 7.4.36 you can.

I'll try upgrading to new boinc.. but seriously what is up with AVG!?!? I never had this problem with the virus' b4.. How is it still happening!? It was literally a dozen instances of cgminer stopped.. all in the same directory.. which is in the exceptions!! ahhh...

I had the problem from Day One.
The reason you should update is you can suspend the GPU in the BOINC Client, the version you have you cannot.
One item is you can keep Bitcoin Utopia Task in Memory while you suspend Bitcoin Utopia Project so that you can Power Down the R-Box and then Power back up and then resume Bitcoin Utopia Project and the task will complete, you cannot do this it in the older client software. Remember to also the BOINC Client to leave application in memory while suspended.
You will find this under Disk and memory usage in advance view - view - computing preferences...
