My strategy is to convert 75% to LTC or BTC when exhanges are low since it's pretty highly valued right now.  Keeping some around just in case across all coins I mine in case one of them sky rocket.

Is that what they call pump-n-dump?

No, pump-n-dump is making the coins worth a lot more than they really are by word of mouth.  What you'd be doing is more along the lines of diversify portfolio work.

K.  Hyping up coins, yeah I see a lot of that.

Got my first invalid block today with error:

[2014-01-10 15:56:55] DEBUG: hash > target (false positive)
Hash: 0000000050b1cc72d3b4289e13810eed77629af42ed32bf192130d1028b895fd
Target: 0000000011940700000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Per this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.msg4349164#msg4349164

The dev says this shouldn't happen often - the hash found was close, but not quite.  Using 2013-12-18 build currently, which is the last release he had (his current work is doing some testing stuff).  So I guess it was truly invalid.

If Doge weren't trending up, I would've tried out solo-mining DGC today. I have everything set up and ready to go!

As it is, I'm going to keep mining Doge and hold on to it. To the moon!

Well, when I got home today the first thing I did was start up the gaming machine and start solo mining where I left off: DGC.

Within 30 minutes, I found a block!  That's $10.  $10 in 30 minutes...

EDIT: updated exchange rate.  Was really $10 in 30 minutes.  Still a lot for little of work.

Ah, if only everyone were so lucky :P

I think I'm going to give it a try anyways. Doge has been underperforming for me recently, and the uptrend should really only push it back to where it was a few weeks ago when I started mining it. Time to take a roll of the die on Digitalcoin.

What KH/s are you at again? I been reading a long and am setup to try this but might not be worth my effort at 1000 KH/s.
I can do up to about 1800 KH/s but I'd have to move everything over and I'm not about to do that  for a gamble. lol
