That's a cool site. Just for SNURK "Badgers" I take it.
Tex, you need a wrench!

Yep this is the Snurk Badge.  You are right about the "wrench" .  Out of ~1,000 people that he does this for, only 4% to date have contributed to his work/costs to provide the badges.  I am well over-due to make a donation for this excellent badge that he makes for so many Crunchers.  Took care of that one today...thanks for the nudge!

Okay... guilted into donation.  So I did.  Donate that is.  Guilt I enjoy if it's good.

It's all "Yodap-the-double-wrench-man's" doin's and he's not sportin' his badge.

Hey, knowing how competitive our merry band is about things, how about this small stat?  Counting your and my becoming "wrench-ers" today, that puts Crunching@EVGA as the 2nd largest team of donors (below the "SNURK and friends" Team)!

Just a comment/question... What happens when a person PP account is not the same email as the crunching one or the one we used to ask for a sig? Makes me wonder if many folks are not showing they donated, even though they have... I tried earlier and it did not ask who I was in the $$ process.

Didn't ask me either... no clue.  I suspect a follow up message via email will be sent once it registers and it will probably ask our crunching name.

AB, that is a good question and now I'll have to follow-up with Snurk.  The PP transaction does not identify what Crunching ID you are using unless you add it as a note.  The PP transaction screen will let you add a note to the person, so that should be a way to communicate your Crunching ID to Snurk.  Did I do that?  Nope, wasn't thinking, but did use the note screen to tell him how appreciative I am of what he does for us.    I never thought about giving him the info to know my Crunching ID.  Worst thing about that is I'll have Yodap telling me that I'm still "wrenchless" again...

So, I just sent Peter (Snurk) an email at wcgsig@gmail.com to let him know who I am so he can make the connection.

Good thinkin' AB!

Just got a thankful reply from Peter (aka Snurk) on the donation.  As to the "wrench", he clarified that for me.  The wrench signifies people that have at one time or another Crunched on the "Snurk and friends" team.  Even if you later join another team, the wrench icon remains to recognize that you once participated with them.  I thanked him for the response and assured him that the donation was solely to recognize his ongoing contribution with the badge.

So Yodap, in Seinfeld style, "no wrench for me" 'cause I'm stayin' right here...
