yeah the posts are tagged as "rumor" so of course you have to temper your expectations, but the same sites are where the sources share white papers, pcb diagram leaks, etc so they have substance much of the time. as we saw with the 3090Ti timeline, things get delayed so it is very fluid imo
 
but even if it's september, i'm going to have a tough time making a choice on the Ti if the queue doesn't start shipping cards this week. once June hits I imagine there will be a very low demand for anything 30 series in the 3090+ price tier

I try not to pay too much attention to them. The specs are usually pretty accurate but the estimated performance numbers and release dates are too all over the place for me. I check videocardz every now and then but wccftech is right out. But I'm with you on the kingpin. If it's not this week I'll probably just wait for the next. I told myself if I got the 3090 Ti KPE I wouldn't get the 4090 FTW3 and just wait for the next KPE instead of getting both and selling the FTW3 later. But with queue 3.0 that might be the smartest thing to do anyways.

no doubt, i want to bench it for sure but by now i could have ordered and been expecting the HOF to arrive any day. friend of mine got his today and it looks insane
 
i've had better luck with the vc for kingpin than the goc tool so was hoping to avoid that this time around.

agreed, that's why i skipped the FTW3 Ti this time around, just doesn't seem like it is worth this late in the cycle. i have too much stuff in my backlog as it is. but man the kingpin looks sweet

I am in line for a ti KPE but probably have to pass, as it won't ever get a block.

same.  its May 17th at this point.  if we had queue shipments right here and now, it'd probably still be 2-6 weeks out for the hybrid.  another 2+ months on that for the block and 40xx in Fall?  impossible timeline

couple options I guess:
 
1-order it from chinese websites and have someone proxy it for you. i think this requires a chinese address and whatever is required to reship. or know someone here who is dual citizenship that can buy for you directly. 
2-know someone at the oc lab who may be willing to sell a sample or limited inventory. enough poking around on the web and you can probably find someone who will help you if you have the cash and are willing to accept the risk/wait
