Other than boost clocks, what's the difference between the 3090 Ti FTW3 Black and the 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra? The product images and descriptions are exactly the same for both cards. 

Probably a slight increase in OC headroom would be my guess.  The slightly better chip will be on the ULTRA.

I wonder if EVGA actually goes through each card to figure out which overclocks better though.

Other than general tests for most to see in which SKU's they belong to, Kingpin's are the only carefully 'hand picked' silicon from the bunch.

I've thought about it too...I really hate the idea of having an aio in my system...still on the fence...currently only registered for the 3090 Ti KPE Hybrid.  Good luck with your decision.

Yeah, he said they binned them for not only clock but thermal and power limits. Have you already gotten a 30 series through the queue? I'm curious how hindered people have been with queue 3.0 who already have gotten cards. I've gotten a bunch for friends and family on my account. Been trying to get my points up using the associate program to try to get in the top 300 to get the ability to pick up the KPE when it gets here. If that's even a thing for the KPE but I assume it would be.

I removed myself from the 3090 Ti KP Hybrid queue when it seemed apparent that nobody is going to do a block for it. I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on eq for a full loop just to put an AiO in there. If this first batch of 3090 Ti FTW3's are binned, that might just push me over the edge...  or I could wait for the 4000 series.. but the eventual 4000 series KP Ti with a block could be 18+ months away, or possibly never. First World problems lol.

That's awesome to know, thank you, I was completely unaware. I got a 3090 back in November 2020, when it was first come first serve - I got very lucky. I do have quite a high score, not sure if I'm in the top 300 though - maybe I am considering I just got the invite.

I'd assume. Either that or they've already gotten through the queue. I'm at 1100 points but no idea if that could put me in the top 300 especially when you consider the people that have been folding at home for years. It's way higher than most but nothing compared to some.

Edit: looks like they've already made it through the queue for the FTW3 Black at they're available for direct sale.
