Finally got XOC bios and classified tool. Still getting her dialed in but my clocks are there. Efficiency seems low so thats what I need to investigate at this point! But pretty soon its gonna be time to go Sub Zero.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti
Yeah it’s wild that you’re getting another 500 pts from the kpx and fan swap. Managed to push to 15816 last night w the xoc bios and same voltages as on LN2 bios.
Note that y’all should not be flashing the xoc bios to the LN2 position unless you’re very confident in your ability to read voltages from a multimeter. That switch position historically does not offer the ocp protection from transient spikes and is more or less “at your own risk”
Unless you’re actually running subzero you should never disable the ocp unless you’re prepared to lose the card. Expensive mistakes are expensive
Fans can be expensive too, but yeah I have a stack here as well. Tempted to buy those 6000rpm fans just for this experiment tho lol
Yeah, I always put it on the normal position. I think OCP might still enabled but there usually isn't temperature protection on the ln2 switch. The xdevs guides for the 2080 Ti and 3090 Kingpins don't mention OCP, anyways, although I remember it as no OCP as well, so I'm not sure.
Question, do you think it's safe to tune the VRM settings? Like bumping it up to 800 khz?
And which LLC settings are best? Historically I've always ran it at level 1. I don't remember there being a level 0 but memory is pretty bad.
