What kind of QD s do you use, I was eye-balling an alphacool 1080 and running Artic P12s just wide open

Some folks like the QD4’s as they’re less restrictive but it’s very negligible imo and the 3’s are a little cheaper.

Great info. Curious what is the stock clockspeed on your card when you press the boost lock on PX1?

What kind of temps do you see under load? And clockspeeds etc. My card gets here tomorrow. Curious on what to expect!

Hi all!

I finally got around to testing some last night with mine. AI don't have enough posts to upload picture but hopefully the links to 3dmark work. I think I got a decent silicon lottery on both the core and memory based on the clock and results.
NOTE: There is a bug in the bios for Clock Monitoring setting on the OLED. It's always 1950. Never really changes and displays real actual clock speed during operation and testing.

My system:
12900k OC All P-core 5Ghz
Gigabyte Z690 Auros Master
Trident 6000Mhz CL36
Open AIR bench setup.

3090ti KPE
- BIOS version:  94.02.A0.00.B5
- Driver Version: 516.59

3DMark Versions: Steam Launcher
- GUi v2.22.7359 s64
- Port Royal V1.2
- Time Spy V1.2

Windows Version 21H1
- build 19043.1826

PX1 Version: 1.3.6.0

Port Royal results and test.

BEST (Portable A/C UNIT blowing on AC) RUN: https://www.3dmark.com/pr/1653651
PX1 Settings: +150 Core; +910 Memory; PL Slider MAX; Voltage Slider MAX

Notes: +150 resulted in an avg 2,223 MHz clock peaking at 2235. Bouncing off of the 516W Bios PL with GPU-Z constantly reporting Pwr/VREL/VOp PerfCap triggers. Worked Core up first then memory at 20 then 10 increments each run with a system reset in between runs. Starting temp at 19C with peaks at 47C ending at 46C.

BEST (Ambient air 72F) RUNhttp://www.3dmark.com/pr/1653625
PX1 Settings: +140 Core; +920 Memory; PL Slider MAX; Voltage Slider MAX
+150 resulted in an avg 2,210 MHz clock peaking at 2225. Bouncing off of the 516W Bios PL with GPU-Z constantly reporting Pwr/VREL/VOp PerfCap triggers. Starting temp at 31C with peaks at 54C ending at 53C.

Time Spy results and test - I guess not many are doing Time Spy as I hit Legendary many times. Constellation Prize; ranked 7th for my exact system combo last night. May have changed by now. Being beat by massive CPU OCing and CPU score as I am just a mild 5Ghz. My GPU score was ranked #2 for the those with same system setups.

BEST (Portable A/C UNIT blowing on AC) RUN: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/29379678

PX1 Settings: +170 Core; +800 Memory; PL Slider MAX; Voltage Slider MAX

BEST (Ambient air 72F) RUN: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/29375024 (TOTAL SCORE: 23216; GPU: 23712; CPU 20756)

+140 resulted in an avg 2,205 MHz clock peaking at 2220. Bouncing off of the 516W Bios PL with GPU-Z constantly reporting Pwr/VREL/VOp PerfCap triggers. Starting temp at 31C with peaks at 55C ending at 55C.

Great info! Thanks for sharing! Did you change the thermal paste or fans? I know on my old 3090 I managed to drop my GPU temps by about 10C or so after swapping those two.

Nice card.

Thank you! This card is screaming for a proper waterblock. I think the PCB fan cooler is not enough to keep mem temps low enough to clock higher. Either that or that I have Micron memory, according to GPU-Z, instead of Samsung which are in my two 3090 FTW3 Ultras which I can push up to +1600 on PX1.

I'm going to make a chill-box tank out of a styrofoam cooler and submerge the radiator in a ice/water mix and see how low I can get the core. I really want to hit the 3Ghz mark.

Everything was stock. I do like the new look of the fans but I think the loud fans from the CLC360 AIO move a lot more air. Unlike the CLC products, I wish there was a way to view the pump speed or change it. Also wish we could see the water temp. The AIO doesn't show up on HWINFO64 or EVGA's FLOW CONTROL app. I know this card was made to be taken apart and for LN2 overclocking, but the enthusiasts all would have preferred a Hydro Copper version. That reminds me, I should double check all the screw and give them some extra torque. I have received cards in the past with loose screws straight from the factory. I do have an extra Critical Pads 3090 kit. but not sure if the thicknesses would ne the same with the copper cooler for the memory and VRMs on this PCB design.

Yeah pretty unfortunate no waterblock is coming. Not sure why they don't just make the KP cards standard with a hydrocopper block. I always thought having an AIO was pretty lame. I might try using a lapped CPU block over the core and reuse the existing heatsinks for the vrms and memory and see if I can get good contact for some chilled water runs. Seeing as the memory is pretty terrible when sub zero, after some LN2 xoc sessions I see this card ending up in my gaming rig long term. Otherwise it's just gonna end up on the shelf.

The current HC models are due for a design change, the Delta is not that great for these high powered cards. I did see they added the HC kit, add to notify button yesterday . Hopefully in couple weeks I'll get the EK block for the Ti. interesting the FTW3 has the smallest chunk of copper of all the AIB partner kits. We shall see when they start shipping
