Definitely need a high power limit. My ftw3 ultra barely clocks 2115 and does 15,700 in port royal. 2200+ should be 16k+ You’ll bounce off the power limit on any of the bios’s on the card. I pull 600 watts on the ftw3. If you use a classy tool you’ll bounce off the limit harder without a 1000w bios.

even with the strix bios? yeah i assume the 1000w is out there just need to track it down. soon

My card hasn't hit power limit yet. I'm hitting vrel every time. I think my scores are bad due to pcie whea errors

Yea I'm interested to see how the card behaves with a bios from a single 16 pin connector. If it ignores the 2nd connector, then possibly true power draw could be around double the set power limit of the bios. That's assuming some other limit is not hit first which happens most of the time with the rest of 30 series with 8pin connectors.

But if it does happen to work, then even running the FTW3 bios would give a higher PL and retain the thermal safeties. May not work but might be worth trying.

Yeah def the riser. Not sure how that behaves or if it gets anything from the 6pin slot power assuming you have it connected

Make sure you connect that extra 6 pin if you’re benching (or in a daily where you’ll game or possibly draw a lot)

I'm fairly sure I connected the 6 pin but I'll double check.

Right on, I haven’t personally ever benched cards with riser but I know people do it. Can’t speak to 30 series and def not 3090 Ti with its massive vrm

Already regretting delaying my delivery but oh well lol

After I mounted it I tested with the 3090 KPE and there wasn't any difference in my max score in PR.

The weird thing was that I tested with the 3dmark pcie bandwidth test and somehow it was slightly higher with the riser.

Before when I had issues with the riser it just wouldn't display a picture. After reseating a couple times it would work and I never had any pcie whea errors. That said, it has a visible warp in it so I've got one ordered. I don't think where I have the radiator mounted it'll reach the pcie slot so this is going to be a pain.

Benching my KPE on a 3.0 and 4.0 cables never changed my PR score

The joys of early adoption. Def interested to get my hands on the Ti and push it. Theoretically this card has the maximum number of cores possible for this series, so combined with the 2GB memory chips we are in uncharted waters both from a power delivery and cooling perspective. Anyone know of other cards with 12+ 2GB gddr6x chips? Power stages delivered by 12VHPWR. Lots to learn
