it was, but worth reposting for folks who haven't seen it. also heard from some folks in the know that the 3090 Ti KPE will launch next week. also seems like pricing will be at or under $2500? but i think it was added then removed so maybe they changed their mind?
 
if it's more than $2.5K i'll wait until the price drops. can't justify this spend with 40 series, Zen4, Raptor Lake all coming in second half of the year

Never seen this vid. 3090 ti is faster for air/water cooling crowd, but worse for ln2 crowd due to memory differences on the 3090 ti vs 3090, so if you’re going to use ln2 it’s best to use a 3090 instead of a 3090 ti because the memory gets held back when going ln2. Also he confirmed that PR gets a boost with a faster cpu which I already knew, but just glad to see him confirm it.

It's weird though.  When you pay attention to the actual reported mem frequencies, I don't see the loss he mentions.  Maybe I missed something?

I've seen the CPU speed effect on PR first hand too.  No amount of tweaking gets my 5800x3D to match my old 5800x.  I tracked that down to pure clock speed since the 5800x3D can only be OC'ed by bclk (and the max I can do is 102).

If you talking about luumi vid with w-3175x it’s a mesh system and skylake. The mesh makes the system slower at port royal. Ring is always faster in these benches why the 10900k was the king till 12th gen.
