I saw on another post that you responded to about this topic about using aluminum within the loop with this graphics card will not be good... is that what i might be running into with the issue with corrosion?

I use to work on aircraft in the navy and i understand the science behind corrosion... so im slapping my forehead at the moment, but also have to look into the components to see what they are made out of.

You never mix aluminum water cooler parts with non aluminum parts .... galvanic corrosion

There is even strong evidence that using silver with a typical nickel plated water block is Bad news ... EK water blocks Says do Not use silver

What do you think about this option?

looks like it might work .... no idea if it is used or a factory reject, why they have one to sell

I've never bought from that site; so, no experiences to share

does it mention that it does not come with hardware?   You'll need the 4 spring screws that are not used with a water block, I'm not sure if your setup has screws that work with a "stock" cooler"

Yeah... The site is what is holding me back as well. Good call on the hardware, but I'm sure I could source them out somewhere. From what it looks like it is pretty reliable but there can be scams, just have to be careful.

I contacted EVGA to see if they have any solutions too but impatience is my tormentor right now. I'll see what they say and then probably try this out. As much as I want to keep it in my water loop, I'm not really interested in having more corrosion issues.

Did you email EVGA Support at Support@EVGA.com

I put in a ticket through their website. I also registered my card... Although I got a automated reply asking me to upload a receipt for the unit which I don't have because it was a gift. I was going to give it a few days.

Ahh nice. Well, all I have is a box with a graphics card in its original box, lol. Maybe the discord conversation would work. But I'm not looking for anything free. It's been out of warranty for quite some time and I opened it up to fix corrosion, so doubly out of warranty. I just want to see if they have the part and I would buy it from them if they had the solution. This would make it so I know everything is legit.

You have been a tremendous help, I really appreciate it.
