Hello. I was gifted a 3080ti Hydro Copper for free and after about 6 months it started leaking. Is there a solution to modifying this card to be water-cooled? I was looking at a couple options but haven't found a perfect solution.

Would this be possible?

Thanks

YES you can

To convert the card to Air cooling or AIO cooling you'll need a compatible cooler; finding the Parts is the hard part.

What specific Card do you have?  ---> XC or FTW3 version & EVGA Part Number would help

I have the second version that you listed

EVGA - Product Specs - EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA HYDRO COPPER

Sadly I can't find the part number at the moment. The box doesn't say ultra though.

On the box "EVGA FTW3 HYDRO COPPER GEFORCE RTX 3080Ti 12G. GDDR6X"

You would need to look for a "dead" / used FTW3 3080Ti to buy for the air cooler & misc. parts to convert your hydro to air cooled

Sometimes you find on auction sites, people selling their old air coolers - if they put an aftermarket water block on their card

Or an aftermarket air cooler

Would something like the "RAIJINTEK MORPHEUS II CORE EDITION - Superior High-End VGA Cooler" work?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll start digging into the web to see what I can find.

The GPU die size changed with every new series 10, 20, 30, 40 GPU .... so, make sure your aftermarket cooler lists your card

Remember the FTW3 is  a much bigger Card (taller, from PCIe slot) & you'll need to cool any part that has a thermal pad on it.  Seems some after market air coolers only cover the die

Options exist in the aftermarket - if you can find one ... look for air cooler or AIO adapter made to fit your GPU

people have used adapters like this before (make sure to read the details & that it fits Your GPU)

The bracket kit ~ $80 & you need to buy the AIO

You could also just buy an after market water block, it seems you already have a custom loop - from your first post

this option might be the cheapest & easiest

Not a bad call. This graphics card either wasn't stored right or was had corrosion build up from the original user, so I had to take it apart and clean the internals. Weird thing is that it didn't start leaking for 5 months or so.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see if I can keep the solution updated because I haven't seen too many posts on this situation.
