I've had pretty good luck with the Apple maps on my iPhone. It's gotten pretty good at telling me when a delay is happening and even has been surprisingly accurate on telling me when to expect a police car that has pulled someone over. On the highway this has allowed me to get out of the right-hand lane.
Speaking of Police cars...
I am driving down the road and a slower vehicle in my right lane gives me the impression it might be deciding to change lanes to take the route I will be taking. I look in the mirror and see a group of vehicles approaching quickly.
I accelerate by the vehicle and as I look in the mirror it's red and blue lights (in the grill) are flashing..
After quickly and safely pulling over the, very young looking, officer approaches my right side window.
First thing I say as I am checking my registration is..Ya got me!..his response.. I guess you aren't wondering why I pulled you over
, license and registration please!
Hand him the registration and as I am trying to dig out my wallet I comment...I try and stay away from the crowd, sorry I have a muscle problem (as I am trying to manipulate my fingers around my wallet) ...He reply's..It's ok no rush...
As I hand him the license he asks for date of birth, address confirmation...Is this your picture?...all of which was professional and courteous on both our parts...
THEN..he says..I am not going to give you a ticket...
...I quickly reach out to give him a fist bump which catches him off guard cause he had his hand open but we soon fist bumped.
He asks me politely to slow down and as he is walking away I whimper...
It's the car
...out of sight but clearly in an older stern voice I hear...
NO, It is the driver!He's right...and so am I..this X5 is a monster making me do all kinds of bad things
I am going to have to keep it on a tighter leash.
