One would assume the "original BIOS" on the first page by the OP.

When I get home tonight im going to try them all and see if I have any luck, Ya know, since its covered under warranty anyways

*UPDATE*
I've just finished on the phone with EVGA Tech support in regards to my EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW2 DT running BIOS Ver: 86.04.60.00.80 & can confirm (according to the tech at least) the following:

1. There have been no hardware changes within the FTW2 DT lifespan so far, The memory chips are the same across all FTW2 DT e.g 10Ghz
2. The firmware update is only a memory frequency overclock, not a voltage or timing overclock
3. BIOS VER: 86.04.60.00.80 is the latest, My card was manufactured in Dec 2017, the OP firmware updates were for the older firmwares that are not in circulation due to "issues" the tech refused to get into
4. Can confirm that it is ok to downgrade your firmware to the original firmware (Original OP) and then upgrade to the 11ghz firmware (cant confirm if this works)
5. Downgrading & updating your firmware does not void your warranty
7. BIOS VER: 86.04.60.00.80 cannot be updated to run 11Ghz

If anyone has successfully updated their BIOS Ver: 86.04.60.00.8 card to run 11Ghz at stock, let us know! I need your help!

1)I believe that it is a bios problem. It is not a hardware problem.Maybe they made a small change to a memory controller or maybe different type of memories.Micron has 2-3 different types of gddr5x.
2) I cant understand why 86.04.60.00.80 cards dont have an 11Gbps optional bios if they cant work with  (86.04.3B.40.81/86.04.3B.41.81).
3)Evga support told me 3-4 times that it is not bios related issue and something is wrong with my cards hardware.I have 2 FTW2 gtx1080 with the same issue.I am 100% sure that if i will RMA my cards the new ones will have the exact same issue.  :D
4)A SOLUTION FOR EVGA
Use bios 86.04.60.00.80 put it in a bios editor and create a new 11 Gbps bios for the new FTW2 and SC2 cards..We are here to test it :D

**I'm glad I bought EVGA cards cause I see a company that deals with the issues that are addressed to its customers.
I hope that we will find a solution to this problem in near future.

I was able to flash it by running DDU beforehand then restarting but that's about as far as the good news go.

After the flash, the memory speed bandwidth dropped significantly (130gbps) and the card was rendered useless so I flashed back to its original BIOS.

Back to a Manual OC I guess...

Did you flash the original first and then the 11GHz bios? or you went straight to the update version?

Yes.
From  86.04.60.00.80 couldnt install 11GHz bios directly but both original and 11Ghz bios do the same thing-->405 fix price at memory.

I flashed it to the original, restarted then flashed it to the 11Ghz firmware.
