I know everyone wants their new cards and some of us that preordered thru Amazon and B&H ect are still waiting too. I ordered an FTW from Amazon on may 31 and they still say we need more time to (insert generic customer support reply). I'm getting tired of waiting and have been eyeing the MSI and Asus cards i see go on sale from time to time. I made 2 mistakes this release one was Selling my SLI 970 FTW cards two was preordering from Amazon. As it stands now it will be atleast a month before i see a new card from when i ordered which honestly i could deal with fine but this heavy lack of info concerning the release of these new cards and the rude way Amazon treats people who ask about preorders just has me not really caring anymore. this is probably the last week I am going to wait then i'll just buy whatever i can find (founder edition aside) Might even buy one of the discounted 980 ti cards i see all the time. IMO this has been one of the very worst retail launches I have ever seen from any major company.
I feel your pain. I've got a Vive that isn't really much use with my older graphics card. I put my order in with Amazon on the 31st too.
I think that for EVGA it's a touchy subject to talk about. Their supply issues are probably not completely their fault, but they can't start bad-mouthing Nvidia for fear of creating hostility with their main vendor.
I imagine they're just as frustrated with the situation as us. As to why other brands are popping up more frequently, I'm not really sure. Could be they got more stock from Nvidia, or the demand is lower for those brands. I've been tempted as well, but I'm spoiled by EVGA's customer service, and dread the idea of RMAing with another company.
