I just missed buying one off your website for the 3rd time in a row!  I had set up a dedicated set of rules in my email client to make sure I didn't miss the next auto-notify, but it didn't help!  :(

Fortunately, Andrew in support was kind enough to provide me with this thread's URL so hopefully I will get lucky the next time.

Doesn't appear to be humanly possible to nab one of these via the auto-notify email alone.  In the 2-3 minutes between when EVGA sends out the email and I receive it and click the product page link, they are already all sold out!  :(

What version are you looking for and do you have a preference in retailer? I use a website that constantly checks stock with all retailers PM me for link or you can search google for it. I've been trying to help out the community and post when I see it in stock I'm usually on from 7AM - 4PM or so. If you subscribe you'll get bombarded with emails but it betters the chances of getting a 1080.

Thanks for asking.

Are you referring to "Now in Stock.com" ?

I am only interested in the FTW model# 08G-P4-6286 and would prefer to buy it direct from EVGA primarily to save sales tax, although having never been able to get that far into the purchasing process here, I am not 100% sure that I will avoid sales tax as a California resident?  Also have no idea how much shipping is from EVGA to Central Ca. because again, I have never gotten that far with a direct purchase yet.

I have bought stuff from New Egg before as well as Amazon, but both charge sales tax for Ca. which on this amount of $$ is a significant chunk of change!

Yup that's the site. FTW was on sale earlier today. Sales tax will apply in CA as EVGA has a nexus in the state. If you want to avoid sales tax the only site I can think of is B&H Photo. Not sure how much shipping is but I would assume no more than 20 bucks but don't quote me. If you subscribe to the thread I'll keep an eye out and post as soon as it's made available on any retailer, from there you can decide who you want to get it from.

Thanks for the heads-up on the tax situation.

Yeah... I was just up on NewEgg and they actually showed this one in stock, but when I clicked ADD to CART to see what the total would be, it wouldn't do it, and after a refresh the stock was of course GONE!  :(

So it looks like B&H is my only option, and unfortunately they are GOUGING the price an additional $20.00 over MSRP which really pisses me off!  I bought the bulk of the hardware for my high end gaming PC from them due to the lack of sales tax, but in those cases, they weren't gouging customers on the price like they are doing with these cards.

Normally, that would be an instant DELETE from my list of retailers to do business with, but it might come down to B&H being the only source that won't be charging me Ca sales tax which adds an additional $51 and some change to the total.  I don't think B&H charges shipping on orders this expensive.  At least I didn't pay any shipping on my previous hardware orders there.

Alright, I'm getting greedy now.  I am LOVING my 1080 FTW and it's time to order a second.

Any rumors on when the stock is supposed to spike?
