I know everyone wants their new cards and some of us that preordered thru Amazon and B&H ect are still waiting too. I ordered an FTW from Amazon on may 31 and they still say we need more time to (insert generic customer support reply). I'm getting tired of waiting and have been eyeing the MSI and Asus cards i see go on sale from time to time. I made 2 mistakes this release one was Selling my SLI 970 FTW cards two was preordering from Amazon. As it stands now it will be atleast a month before i see a new card from when i ordered which honestly i could deal with fine but this heavy lack of info concerning the release of these new cards and the rude way Amazon treats people who ask about preorders just has me not really caring anymore. this is probably the last week I am going to wait then i'll just buy whatever i can find (founder edition aside) Might even buy one of the discounted 980 ti cards i see all the time. IMO this has been one of the very worst retail launches I have ever seen from any major company.

I ordered mine the exact same day as you did from Amazon. Still waiting. I talked to an EVGA rep via phone and they said that it would be at least 2 weeks before they knew when the official release date of the FTW 1080. Preorders through the EVGA site will be filled before Amazon's so I'd say it'll be at least 3 more weeks before we get ours.

When did you talk to them? On Friday they said that they had filled all evga.com pre ordes for the FTW.

I talked to the rep around 4 days ago. Hopefully we are in the preorder queue that will be filled this week.

Well I never saw the pre orders happen so I'm out of luck.

Well, all this talk about US stock and refusing to talk EU stock made me change my order to an MSI card just now.

Any Canadian stock of 1080 FTW soon? C":

I'm just about to that point too. As much as I like the look of the cooler on the ftw and want the rgb so can make it match all the green in my case, and as much as I don't want to support msi or asus after what they did with reviewers (and not for the first time either), evga is obviously getting gpus from invidia given that the sc has been in stock two days in a row now, so why won't they use them to make the card that everyone wants instead of the sc card that everyone is settling for.

The question is how long of a wait? Waiting for a new product is one thing, but there is a point at which the wait becomes ridiculous for a mass production product.

so when realistically will I be able to place my 1080 FTW order if I stay on top of it?  Sometime this week Jacob said I thought, so then after I order hopefully I am in the right place at the right time and stars align and I place the order.  Then its another 3+ weeks before it arrives? 

Nobody knows the answer to that.  Fact is if you're somewhat flexible in terms of which card you buy, and you watch this space and places like Nowinstock.net..  you can get cards.  I could have bought a half-dozen today if I wasn't locked into 1 particular model.

same, i could have gotten a asus or a msi by now if i wasnt waiting for the ftw evga one........but im slowly being broken DX

Yeah I could have as well, since ive been watching stock of all 1080s like a hawk, but I really want the FTW.  I did a ton of research and now am heart set on it.  Not to mention everything else in my build I have spent a ton of time choosing exactly what I wanted.  I dont want to settle for something now, although its literally the last thing I need to finish my build! :/

I think i just got me a FTW on NewEgg... waiting for it to approve my card...
