I have battery operated socks that I bought 30 years ago they still work.
One D cell heats a strip right under the toes.
If I still worked up on the roof everyday Like I used to, I would consider those.
They look like they would work good.

I miss the battery socks at times. The downside of the insoles is you have to remove them from your boots and plug them in. The upsides are theres no bulky battery pulling your socks down. They cover your entire sole. If you keep them on low and or turn them off for awhile they last all day. Just don't keep the remote in your pocket, they will turn on and discharge to quickly.
