Sorry it took me so long to get back to you! I got really side tracked haha. What I would suggest to you is to make a new thread in the general discussion section and maybe copy and paste your info that you just told me over to there so other people can read this as well.
 
In my opinion it is most likely your power supply going bad on you! A 400 watt low end psu through a q6600 quad core low end SLI system and the other things you have IMO would probably be pushing the limit for power with 400 watts. I could be wrong though! Thats why I think you should make a new thread about it!
 
You will get a lot more people's opinions that should help you out a lot. Their are ways to test system components but I think we should get some other opinions as well before we put you through the hoop of testing stuff haha

Ok, I will keep my real name private but I live in Portland, OR. but originally from France. I work as an engineer in the semiconductor industry but really wanted to be a pilot in the air force. I travel quite a bit for my work visiting customers who are all too familiar to you guys hardware enthusiasts.

No problem dude! I actually play l4d2 sometimes as well. I mostly play crysis 2 now a days but other then that, l4d2 is probably my second most played game. If you have steam, go ahead and add me under the user freshclip22.
