Does the "24hr avg" mean DAILY AVERAGE as opposed to the last 24 hours then?

Yes, just as yodap says, it takes your overall points over the last 7 days and divides by 7 to get your average. 
 
You should start your own thread like many have including myself to ask Q's and get answers, we all like to help out as much as possible.
