Got into the top 500 in the team. Next goal 4 million by the end of August.

Done for a bit so I can enjoy the Steam Summer sale games I bought and because of the heat.

While it's not a points milestone, I have to list a milestone list of temp records.
Max GPU temp: 113C (HeatStorm's Mobility Radeon 9600 playing Minecraft in 100F air)
Max GPU temp (folding): 86C (GTX 275, ambient air temp @ 110F)
CPU temp (folding): 84C (HeatStorm's Northwood, ambient air temp roughly 104F)

The look on Dad's face when he walked into the blast furnace was priceless.  In fact, he'd stated, "I think I'll grab the netbook and work outside, it'd be colder."  Pretty much true.  90F outside and 100+ in here, no AC, and lots of folding.  The GX2 is idling...

How did that thing not melt out of the socket??
I take it your pc does not automatically shut down when it overheats?

HeatStorm's from 2002, before auto-shutdown-on-overtemp was even considered.  Second, it's a laptop, and third, I've put it through heck.  Fourth, I'm the one who put the heatsink on last time, and I screwed that sucker down tight with the perfect amount of paste.  The fact that it still panics simply shows that 64MB isn't enough for anything anymore.  Especially under a 40mm fan.

I'm surprised it's still alive, but then again, given what I've put it through, I'm not exactly surprised.  I've had the CPU (socket 478 Northwood) up to about 90 before.
