I folded for a short time years ago, most likely under an email that no longer exists, so effectively I'm a born-again noob. I'm looking to start up a little, at least for the 2020 Time Zone Challenge, and now I just need to look through and see where the software is and how to set everything up and register etc... basically starting from scratch with no real idea what I'm doing lol.
Also, I am donating a brand new, unopened, EVGA RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra GPU for the 2020 Time Zone Challenge.
Thanks to a lot of people using my associate code since the 3000 series launch, EVGA Bucks have paid for a new EVGA 1000 T2 PSU and $67 off my 3090 FTW3 Ultra. As thanks and "paying it forward" for all the people who used my
associate code and
rewards/affiliate code, I used EVGA Bucks to fully purchase a new RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra GPU (except tax & shipping) to give away. Rather than give it away on the open forums or Friday podcast where the winner could be anyone and they could just sell it, EVGA Forum Moderator The_Scarlet_One brought the 2020 Time Zone Challenge to my attention, and this seems a much better way to give the GPU away - it's for a good cause, will likely go to an EVGA forum member, and hopefully will be used for folding rather than sold.
Cheers!
p.s. I might be slow to start - my 3090 has issues and I'm waiting for an RMA card to arrive. Hopefully I'll be set up in time for the 2020 Time Zone Challenge. I have a 980 Ti card I keep as an emergency backup GPU, which I can use if all else fails. Current 3090 can't manage a game of Civ V for long, so I doubt it will handle folding.
