Yes, all you have to do is change the team number to switch teams.  As long as your username stays the same you won't have to re-qualify your passkey.

Have you entered your folding name in your profile? (evga.com->Member Home->My EVGA->My Profile)  You need to do that to earn EVGA Bucks.  The current levels are 750k points in a month for the first 5 Bucks, and another 750k (1.5M total) for the second 5 Bucks (10 total).

There isn't anything close to OCN's team competition.  There are a couple nearly-annual competitions, but nothing ongoing like what you've seen.

Hi all, new EVGA folder here but not to folding.  Have folded with three different teams and a little over 155 Million points under the Username of Oletymer.

I GPU fold with a GTX680, two GTX 660ti and a GTX760.  Also CPU Fold NaCl WUs with two Quad Core Laptops.

Figured I might as well start getting some EVGA Bucks since I do use most of their products.   Plus it will be a bit of a challenge to get  the 1.5 million points this month (Oct.) after the change of Passkey for the new Username.

Two questions:

Running Windows 8.1 at the moment, would I see a big boost in PPD if I switched to Linux (Linux Mint with Cinnamon desktop)?

Is it OK to hook up more than two computers to fold under my same username? (In order to reach that sweet 750 k points per month milestone.) Or would that be considered cheating?

As long as they are your PCs or you have permission you can run as many as you want to. It is only frowned upon when you use someone else machine without their knowledge. It is a loss trying to hit the milestones unless your not paying for electricity(i.e. it is included in your rent) as it will cost more to hit the milestones than you get in evga bucks.

Ok thank you.

Yea sure it will be a loss, but if I spend 10 dollars in power to get 5 bucks in gift cards science gained 10 dollars and I only spent 5! :)

You would see a Modest increase in PPD (the OS runs faster. less clutter so work gets done faster)

most of the user that have switched to linux did it for CPU BigAdv which ends beginning of this year - phased out
that just leave GPU folding from now on which has it's own inherent problems in linux - native linux drivers and Linux core issues
while i wouldn't recommend folding GPU's in linux - it's possible with odd Beta quirks

I recommend for most users to stick with windows
Beta WU's are quirky enough even with maxwell Core issues
