Hello all just have a question about the pci slot on the z690 kp.
 
So i have 3 ssd m.2 drives installed will this take lanes from my video card  making it connect at 8x instead of 16x
 
If that is the case, is this a problem for my GPU its a Asus 6900 XT TUF or does it not powerful enough to need the 16x  

No, it shouldn't take away from the gpu. x8 is fine for that gpu.

thank you for your time, I was just wondering since i did see it happens with amd boards if i read correctly where pcie lanes were affected depending on what cpu you had and that having m.2's installed would take pci lanes well as long as my cards performance is not affected i wont worry about it i have been playing lots of games fine but was kind of weird that my son when he had an rx580 some games were playing better on his computer than on mine, but lately its been pretty good for me and haven't been having any real issues with the gpu but just with im guessing its the cpu i get random pauses and disconnects and this is befor the microcode updated bios i did see the voltages were jumping up above 1.5xx volts but who knows if its due to the cpu or gpu and i dont know how i would figure that out and whats weird is it only happens in champ select on league of legends  mostly  anyways thank again for your input and excuse my rambling
