Seems a lot of people struggling with the flickering issue I've had on the laptop since 2-3 drivers ago. My 4090 seems ok with the newer drivers, but not the 4080-laptop. The issue seems mostly related to G-sync and high refresh monitors (possibly VRR issue).

Yeah I was going to update 1-2 driver versions ago when one came out that said a VRR issue was fixed, and some people in the official nvidia forum thread for the drivers were mentioning it was indeed NOT fixed at least on the series of monitors my LG 34GN850 is part of.  Something about the backlight being out of sync with the panel.  So here I sit on an apparently vulnerable 556.12 waiting for a driver that won't break my monitors while using GSYNC etc.

Just tried Atomic Heart on my 4090 laptop and no issues with Gsync/VRR. I do have it set to dGPU mode. And no issues so far on the desktop.

No issue's with gaming or otherwise with my 4090 and 144Hz monitor with Gsync/VRR.

Yeah, the flickering doesn't seem to happen for everyone (as you all have noted), but there are already several folks reporting it in the feedback thread. Of course they were reporting it in the last several versions too lol.

One thing I found interesting is that my father-in-law has the same exact laptop as me and his does not have the issue...so it's a weird one.

I'll probably give it a try over the weekend and see if I actually get any flickering or not since the driver supports the new MS flight sim which I expect to be picking up in the near future so i'm gonna need some sort of driver update soon.  I just hate having to run DDU because then I have to reconfigure nvidia control panel with custom settings for a half dozen games and re-associate my color profiles to my monitors.
