Open source is not going to happen. Most of the BIOS code is licensed from AMI, not owned by EVGA, so it's not even an option from a legal standpoint.

Hey Chris, I went and bought myself a i5 13600k knowing it wouldn't be smart to go 14th gen knowing that it's not fully supported. I would like to know if you have any more bios updates for 13th gen that I could download soon.. thank you again sorry for being annoying. Hope to receive news soon:)

Unless Intel still hasn't fixed it's issue's (0x12b) with some of the 13th & 14th Gen CPU's, it's unlikely you'll see anymore BIOS updates on CPU's that are about to be 2 generations old.

13th gen is only 1 generation old. Im pretty sure it's fixed but it's only a beta bios. If it's only a beta bios then Chris and his team are still working on it am I wrong?

You're probably right about a non beta BIOS coming fairly soon. As far as 13th gen, the 15th gen chips are due to be released anytime now which makes 13th gen CPU's 2 generations old.

I went with the 13600k over the 14600k cuz I knew that they're practically the same and would have a better experience with the 13th gen as it has support. Praying Chris releases the non beta

Probably. They haven't released a non-beta bios in quite some time (March 31, 2023) and the only updates they've done were for this Intel stability issue that actually causes damage to cpus. They had already said (before this Intel issue came up) that there would be no more BIOS versions. So I think it's great we got two more with micro-code updates, but I wouldn't expect anything else.

Z690 Chipset from Intel, started by supporting 12 Gen CPUs .... it is kind of a old Chipset,
 
I'm amazed that 14 Gen CPUs were ever compatible

Good deal here, glad this out! Thanks for getting this out EVGA, now I won't feel so bad when I sell my 13900k setup here in the future and as of now I can run this on my current setup.
