Dear EVGA Community,

Thank you everyone for your patience while our team worked on the updates per Intel for the Z790 motherboards.
These updates include the 0x129 Microcode from Intel for the Z790 series motherboards.

We only recommend this BIOS for the Z790 with Intel 13th or 14th Gen. Processors.

The BETA BIOS can be downloaded at the links below:

·         121-RL-E799-KR - EVGA Z790 DARK K|NGP|N - v1.20
·         121-RL-E798-KR - EVGA Z790 CLASSIFIED - v1.17

Please take note that we do not recommend updating your BIOS if you are not running an Intel 13th or 14th Gen. Processor.

Please take note that even though you can change the settings listed below the Intel Default Settings, those settings will not go into effect until you turn off the Intel Default Settings option, then save and exit.

Please take note that this BIOS is an update for the 0x129 Microcode and Intel Recommended Default settings for the 13th and 14th Gen. Intel Processors.

I am not aware of any other changes.

Can you specify exactly which settings below are ignored when Intel default settings is enabled?

I think all of them.

I wouldn't think it's all of them. Stuff like c states, e cores being enabled, virtualization, etc don't seem like they contribute to 13th and 14th gen degrading.
