Microsoft paint has actually improved to be a reliable graphics viewer.

Chrome, Steam, Gimp, Discord, VPN software, PotPlayer(for watching videos).

I try not to fill my computer with bloatware, but eh sometimes bloatware is convenient. 

HWinfo64, great for checking temps/general system information.

I've installed the following on every Windows and Linux computer I've had for the past few years:

• Visual Studio Code; free, open source code editor with amazing addons = 10 ⭐
• Firefox; seeminly the only browser that really cares about privacy 😁 = 10 ⭐
• GIMP; free, open source and powerful image editor = 9 ⭐ (I wish it loaded quicker)
• Inkscape; free, open source vector image editor, but a little tricky to use = 9 ⭐ (I prefer Adobe Illustrator but it's too expensive for casual use)
• Discord; can't seem to live without it, but not a huge fan = 8 ⭐

 
Windows specific:
 

• Snipping Tool; built into Windows 10, super easy to take screenshots = 10 ⭐
• Paint.net; free and easy way to edit images. Loads super quick. I'm always making goofy art with this = 10 ⭐

Davinci Resolve

Davinci Resolve for video editing
Handbrake for compressing file size
Photoshop for photo editing
 
That's my application list! :)

My personal must have choices are:
 
- Autorun Virus Remover (excellent for quick scanning, especially for hard drives or USB  devices).
- MSI Afterburner for every over clocker out there
- Flux is great for your eyes, and applies a colder tone, friendlier to your eyes, most useful at night
- Avast is my AV of choice for many years now and had not one singe problem ever since.
- I also recommend Opera GX browser. It has built in VPN and what is most important, is that you get notified of the free games and heavy discounts in real time. It helped me create a vast library of Epic freebies :)
