Here I am using my EVGA SR-2 a full decade later. I did upgrade GPUs and Xeons along the way, but that's it.

I'd say it's about time for an upgrade.

I'm a Classified loyalist, but I think I'm leaning Kingpin.

Can we get confirmation both are full size E-ATX?

Kind of a dumb question, are the EATX motherboard standoffs location the same as the ATX? I never had an EATX MB. I know my case can handle it, but I don’t have any extra standoffs. My last EVGA MB was the X58. So yeah, thinking of getting the CLASSIFIED version.

Based on the location of the mounting holes, it's E-ATX in that it's bigger (wider) than ATX, looks a smidge taller than ATX as well.  Roughly looks the same as the Z590 Dark dimensions.

Yes, the board just extends past the ATX standoff locations.

Thanks for the reply.

This had me confused as well. Yes, the standoffs are the same. But after a few hours of searching, I realized EATX is a generic meaning with no true dimensions applied to it. EATX just means its bigger than an ATX. EATX means it could be .1” longer or maybe 3” longer. EATX is not bound to any specific length, but it does use the same standoffs. This board looks like it extends somewhere between 1-2” beyond the last ATX standoff.

I hope these new boards arrive sooner than later. Will we have an opportunity to get this before the New Year? Should I hold my breath?

I have ordered everything but a z690 board and not sure how long I can wait!

Lol I finally got the z590 dark it failed in two weeks, rma'd it. The replacement will show up two days before z690 and 12900k. I'm not happy at all.

Unfortunate to hear that. I feel like EVGA messed up with Z590 because they were already working on this Z690. I wanted to finally build one with Win7 but damn I see these issues and those POST LED fails even on X570 DARK, feels really awful. Maybe I should just get a Z590 Tachyon, even if the DIMM cannot do 3866 Gear 1 for RKL, but maybe it works with 4000MHz C16 on CML, then Apex XIII which has ALC 4082 awful buggy Audio chip through USB. I just dunno anymore !! A huge mess I'm in, should have got Z390 DARK and followed TiN guides sad that he left now and we see so many of these weird things.  Plus Z690 = lot of additional costs, I bet Z690 DARK will be $800 easily, add more investment for guinea pig standards like DDR5 start, PCIe5.0 start and  plus no idea of Z790 is in the pipeline just like always.
