Shops in the UK say most of their LGA 1700 socket motherboards are expected to be in stock for November 4th. Maybe EVGA will be similar with their release dates

Are the PCI-E x16 slots metal or plastic on the Classified? It's hard to tell with those pics.

Metal, but that could be subject to change on the final board.

Thanks dude, fingers crossed that they stay metal for the release version

Any guesses on the release date? Curious how long I’ll be waiting

Jacob answered someone on Twitter with that question:

Late this year.

whats the difference between the classified and the dark board ? as both are kingpin editions?

A. 19-phase VRM on the classified, compared to 21-phase VRM on the dark

B.128GB of ram supported on the classified (32GBx4 I'm guessing, but likely only 64GB of Ram (32x2) supported on the dark as it's focused on speed over Ram size ( that spec isn't listed, but it's consistent with the differences between older FTW and dark motherboards)

C. from looking a the board, it seems that the Classified has the x4 PCIe slot at the bottom while the Dark doesn't (likely to focus on speed over some features again)

D. the right angle socket and memory can be seen as well, like in the z590

given there isn't a full list of specs yet, you may be able to venture a few more guesses about specs and differences by comparing the z590 FTW and Z590 dark, I'd say a fair chance of the differences between those two are also there in the z690 line, though exactly what differences might be hard to tell for sure, until full specs are released.

As for pricing, I'm guessing at least the same as the prices for the z590 boards, of $430 and $600, or higher (if the classified is like it was before in regards to GPUs, a step higher than FTW, I could guess a bigger price difference compared to the ftw version of the z590, than say the dark boards, though it may just be a change in branding)

I could see the names going to be Classified and Dark for the top motherboards, and FTW and kingpin for the top GPUs, though it could be more complex with naming crossover, and given that kingpin needs kingpins approval, it might not be so simple.

It's a nice looking board. Layout looks a lot like the Z590 which also is a nice board.

It might be safe to assume that they are on a cargo ship waiting to be offloaded.
