Feeling a little burned that as I lived my life and signed up in a que that in fact, none of my part numbers seems to have moved. At all. Meaning I wasted time thinking it was covered. I am, it appears, having my butt hanging in the breeze. This is partly my fault. For putting to much faith in the que and EVGA.
This market situation isn't EVGA's fault. The market is insane right now, the only way to get a card for MSRP is to spend literally days and weeks learning the ins and outs of each outlet, practice getting in on drops, sign up for Discord notifications, etc etc. Many people have burned multiple days of vacation, get up early regularly to get into queues, have been signing up for the Newegg shuffle for a year, the list goes on. You can't just waltz in nearly a year into this going *claps hands* "Okay, I'm ready to build a PC!" And expect to snag a card in a few months. All of the scalpers and bots got in with their multiple addresses at the same time the rest of us did, so if you signed up 3-6 months later there's literally no way in hell that the initial change (nor this one) would help regardless.
TLDR: If you're too busy 'living your life' to fight against bots and scalpers for a year like everyone else has been, your best options are an overpriced AMD card on Newegg, an RTX card from a Scalper, camp out at Microcenter/Best Buy, or just buy a gaming laptop.
