Thanks Nereus - and to confirm, these latest bios for the hybrid have unlock fans that I can lower below 33% like the air cooled bios?

I can't speak for the 3090. However, I recently installed the hybrid kit on my RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra (Low Hashrate). I disabled fast boot (CSM was already disabled, on MSI boards this means having it set to UEFI only mode) and flashed the VBIOS in the screenshot below. Rebooted, ran X1, it said there was a firmware update for my card, I hit ok and the radiator fans and fan on the shroud instantly went to 100 percent and the 3 power LED's turned red but I'm fairly sure that's normal during a firmware update. The update applied successfully. I rebooted and ran X1 again to make sure the update installed successfully. X1 didn't say my firmware needed an update so it must have. I then shut down my PC, put the BIOS switch in the OC position and flashed the OC mode VBIOS included in the download and that worked fine as well. I rebooted ran X1 again while the card was in OC mode to make sure it didn't need to update the card with the VBIOS switch in the OC position. It didn't. Shutdown, put the switch back to regular mode and that was it.

The fan on the shroud never fully stops, it goes as low as 30% fan speed, but even with afterburner I can't force a zero RPM mode. IDK if this is regular behavior for the Hybrid or not. But it's fine with me since at that speed (~800 RPM) it's not audible at all. The radiator fans do fully stop when the GPU is below a certain temp. I'm assuming 60c like the other cards, but I actually can't get my GPU temp to get higher than ~55-56c no matter what I try. I've tried multiple games, multiple burn in tools etc but I've never gotten my GPU temp above ~56c since installing the hybrid cooler. But I'm assuming that is when the radiator fans would start spinning and ramp from there. Again, IDK if this is normal behavior for the hybrid or not. I can control the fan on the shroud and the radiator fans just fine with Afterburner, other than not being able to set the shroud fan below 30 percent. I may re-install X1 for a bit just to see if it can, but I'd be surprised if it were any different and like I said I don't mind since it's such a low speed.

I've had no issues so far. No weird fan behavior like random fan speed spikes which I've seen posts about from people that installed the hybrid cooler and flashed their card to the hybrid VBIOS.

Hi, guys!
What about some issues on 3080 ti FTW3 U? I visited the topic long ago.
Maybe  solution for unequal power distribution between cords attached was finally discussed?
3rd cord draws at least  twice less power compared to 1st and 2nd. Sure you all know that.
Also maybe there were lucky boys who can reach 450 Wt on ti FTW3U?
I'm so rage when the card shoes me reaching power limit in simple Heaven benchmark at 400 Wt with setting of 118%.

Also I'm wondering if card keeps power limit setting in ROM or whenever. Because I saw strange thing. Some day I launched Kombustor  and saw just 400 Wt and limiting. But Afterburner told me about 118% set. I could only increase wattage limit with X1. So the qeustion is if X1 force the card to keep this limit inside despite of other program try to set (I mean MS AB of course)?

Also, EVGA, please, issue XOC bois with more limit for Ti FTW3U, at least 480 Wt.
That's really unfair that simple 3080 has 450 and much more powerfull Ti has the same.
I don't want to use HOF 1000 Wt bois as it hurt monitoring of voltages and can lead to strange power draw from cords, which might be dangerous for card.

i fully support this request.
give us a BIOS thats able to use 450 at least.
my old 3080 ftw3 could be run right at 450 watt / this 3080ti ftw3 cant even get their.
you could surely give us 3080ti ftw3 owner some love with a 480 watt bio and a balanced pci-e 3 plug.

their is no reason to buy a 3080ti ftw3 otherwise. any other 3080ti can do allmost the same powerlimits the 3080ti ftw3 can do right now.

I ordered the 3080 12GB Hydro Copper and the 240mm Hybrid kit, which is the appropriate bios for me?

A friend is willing to sell me his RTX 3080 TI Ultra Hybrid since he upgraded to a 3090 Kingpin, I would like to mine on it on the side to make some extra money and I heard there was a BIOS release for the 3080 Ti FTW3 air cooled card that unlocked mining performance. Would I be able to flash my hybrid card with this air cooled BIOS in order to unlock the performance?

Hi
I did install the RTX 3080 FTW3 HYBRID LHR XOC BIOS on my graphics card( EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 ultra hybrid 10G)
Both bios (normal and OC)
The Normal bios stay 400W and the OC bios change to 450W.
Unfortunatelly with the OC bios I have same 400W limit, if the powerconsumption above 400W comes throttling.

With new bios my card not so stable like before.I can stabilize my card at 30MHz less boostfrequency.

Before XOC bios installation I did save my original bios files with gpu-z
I installed back both original bioses(normal and OC) with nvflash
I have now same issue as like as with XOC bios. I can stabilize my card at lower boostfrequency.

I did download the normal rebar bios files from this website, after insallation same issue.

I changed nothing on my pc.
Same driver, same settings in motherboard bios

What can I do? Any solutions?

Y.S.

Thank you for these BIOS.
I have a couple questions though:

  1. What's the point of flashing the OC BIOS if we can flip the switch to OC on the EVGA card? Wouldn't it just use the OC BIOS and it would update using Precsion X1? Or is the update only to increase to 450W limit?
  2. If we applied the BIOS update provided here, wouldn't X1 Precision update and overwrite the Custom BIOS?

This thread is greatly appreciated.  Just installed a Hybrid kit on my 3080 XC3 Ultra and flashed it to the Hybrid verion without any issues.

So, it looks like I may have gone backwards. After flashing to the Hybrid 3090 OC BIOS (went H2O) my max power is capped at 350w and boost freq's are a bit lower. I went back to the regular OC BIOS (from this thread) and I'm still capped at 350w. I've seen in the past where EVGA could help out if they have the current ROM. The deviceID reads correct, so hopefully it's an obvious find.

Well, here's the current ROM:  (ok, my link was removed. How to link to file?)

Thank you for any help/advice.

So as I said in my post on the previous page, I successfully flashed my RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra LHR to the "EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 HYBRID LHR (10G-P5-3898-KL) [ReBAR]" VBIOS. Ran Precision X1, which updated the firmware, rebooted again and my card shows up as a Hybrid card now.

I wanted to try the XOC 3080 LHR FTW3 Hybrid VBIOS, but when I try to flash the XOC VBIOS it says my VBIOS is up to date and won't flash the XOC version.

I just installed a hybrid kit on a 12GB 3080 HC — 12G-P5-4879-KL. Any bios flash for this?
