Furior
I just reinstalled the stock aircooler on my RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING, (24G-P5-3987-KR) for some days but unfortunately the fans are acting strange.
Feels like 0 or 100% i tried to adjust the curve with X1  or MSI Afterburner but both programms -> no impact in the fan rpm`s
I posted my problem in a german forum and the german EVGA support send me here to maybe flash another bios.
Is there a newer Version which could fix my problem?
i attached a screen from the Bios on the normal switch

Update i tried the Bios from  xxx...EVGA-GeForce-RTX-3090-FTW3-XOC-BIOS-m3124192.aspx

is there a XOC version of the 3080 ftw3 hybrid bios? I just installed the hybrid kit on my card, but don't want to downgrade from the XOC 450w bios

I updated the 3090 XC3 Hybrid BIOS and the card constantly draws 185W of power no matter what the clocks or load is. I've seen other posts with this issue.

Is there another XC3 bios that doesn't have this issue?

PSA#1: TURN OFF "FAST BOOT" IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS.
.....
So, please make sure to turn off Fast Boot until you are done flashing, and you've decided on which BIOS switch you want to use.  At that point, you can restart and re-enable Fast Boot again, if you wish.

PSA#2: DISABLE CSM IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS BEFORE FLASHING A REBAR BIOS.
...
Disable CSM in your motherboard BIOS, or you run the risk of getting a black screen at boot.  For FTW3 cards, which you can flip the switch on the card to go to a non-ReBAR BIOS, you can quickly fix this and get picture again.  However, for those of you with an XC3 card, you only get one BIOS, and it will likely lead to an RMA if CSM is not disabled.

Note - It's true that you could run into some issues with booting into your OS or legacy hardware if you disable CSM.  However, you can resolve those issues by re-enabling CSM.  If you discover that you have an issue when you disable CSM, it's far better to learn what you need to do to fix those issues before you flash your card to an unrecoverable state.  Plenty of people on this forum can help you figure out what you need to do to get your system ready for Resizable BAR.

OK, I will be flashing a 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra, which means all the BIOS options are Resizable BAR BIOS.

PSA#1  states to disable fast boot, and goes on to state that you can re-enable fastboot later if you desire, once the BIOS flashing is done.

PSA#2 states to disable CSM before flashing so you don't brick your card.... great to know.

Are you able to re-enable CSM after the flashing is complete as well? or does it need to remain disabled indefinitely? It would be nice for that point to be clear. This is sort of important to know as users might update their motherboard BIOS after the graphics card was flashed, which could (likely would) re-enable CSM. Alternately, they might move a flashed graphics card to a new rig and not think to check CSM setting.

Nevermind I figured it out.  If you're having poor performance from your 3080 TI XC Ultra Hybrid Gaming like me, I made a guide on reddit if I'm allowed to post it here...

Hey,
@EVGATech_LeeM

If, for some reason the bios update fails (stuck at update, or fast boot enabled, or csm enabled) and I get a black screen at boot, is it possible to fix it by plugging the monitor at the motherboard onboard graphics and reflashing it in windows? Or maybe the display driver won't appear anymore to perform the reflash? I'm asking this because I have a 3080 XC3 and I have just one bios, if anything goes wrong (like an unlucky power surge), one would have to RMA the card, and that's a long process, so if there is a way to fix it by booting with integrated graphics it would be awesome, because right now I'm kind of hesitant in flashing it and something going wrong. I already have CSM and fast boot disabled, but still scared to flash it, so many people had problems in the past with this process.

Thanks!

I mean, it depends on how badly the flash went.  If you still have picture and can boot into Windows, you're probably fine and might just be having a driver issue.  If it's completely bricked, then it's RMA time.  Short of that (like no display, but the card appears to be working), you can try to force flash it with some command line arguments.
