i have a watercooled, XC3 Ultra gaming Part Number: 12G-P5-3955-KR is it possible to flash a bios on it to give it little more Powerlimit ?

Hope to get a reply :)

only one you can try is the GALAX HOF 1000W bios but you have to keep an eye on power draw to not blow the fuses on your card

do i need to try flash it and hope i works, or you know it works ?

I cannot guarantee that it will work but theoretically it should give you around 600w power limit

Though keep an eye on the power draw on PCIE slot so as not to pop the fuse

So, I doubt a new bios update is available, but I would like a way to check using Precision X1 and it would nice if precision also told me what bios I am using. I know other ways to find it, you'd just expect such a piece of software to do that considering it's design for said hardware. Anyways, the only info I got from this thread was the ability to flash the bios and make my 3080 ti FTW3 "act" like a hybrid. Why would I want to do that? All I want to do is find the latest bios. Would be great if it was as easy as finding the new drivers - which I check regularly. Why do I have to rely on Precision to auto update instead? I don't trust auto-update on startups, they do not always connect or work properly.

Open PX1 and click the ⓘ button on the lower right corner of the window (next to the software version number). This will show you what BIOS version you're running. Or, you can see the BIOS version in the Re-BAR menu of PX1. Additionally, you will see a clickable "Update"  button next to the BIOS version in the Re-BAR menu if an one exists. Otherwise, the auto-updates you sometimes experience on startup of PX1 are firmware updates, not BIOS, and they are usually for things like the MCU (microcontroller unit) for the fans and RGB. Lastly, why you'd want to change to the hybrid BIOS, for example, is if you replaced the stock air cooler with EVGA's hybrid cooler. Anyway, I hope this helps and clears things up a bit.

Just for clarification, does flashing the hybrid Bios to the 3080 Ti FTW3 increase the power limit or anything else OC potential related? Cause the power slider in Precision X1 is lower with the Hybrid Bios, but haven't actually compared the results yet.

Have these bioses been updated at all ever?
How would we know if they are updated and we need to patch up to the newest version?
Only want to make sure I'm not missing any updates and all that.

Good day to everyone, posted this on another thread but never got any reply or guidance, I have updated my Bios on my FTW3 Ultra 3090 to the XOC Bios and here is the result gaming, can you guys advise on if and how I should request an RMA to the new Revision card?

I just upgraded from an EVGA 3080 ftw3 ultra that I had converted to hybrid myself, to a 3080ti ftw3 ultra hybrid, and I noticed a difference in the power limit.  I had installed the OC bios on the 3080 a while back, which let me increase the power limit to 118%, and I read in the opening post here that the 3080ti's already come with the OC bios as the stock bios, so I figured I'd be able to up the power limit to 118% as well, but it will only go as high as 112%.  I've made sure that I have the physical bios switch on the card set to the overclock bios.  Is there some reason the power limit is lower?  Is there a different bios that will let me increase it to 118, or is 112 as high as it can safely be set?

Edit: nevermind, question was answered in different thread.

Hey quicks, quick question: I'm going to attach an EKWB waterblock soon to my 3080 and i've heard that there are some issues with some cards (wb potentially killing them maybe?) and i'd like to know if flashing xoc bios voids my warranty in case i need to rma a dead card.
