Has anyone had the issue, where you've received a 3090OC from RMA, which still doesn't work with the 500W BIOS?

Which BIOS are you flashing?  There's no reason to be flashing the older XOC BIOS on the newer 3090 revision.  You will lower performance that way.

Hello @EVGATech_LeeM
(I'm not an English native speaker. Hope you don't mind)

And i just join here , so i cant PM , Sor

I have RTX 3080 XC3 BLACK (10G-P5-3881-KL )
I open EVGA  Precision X1  and it update my card vbios yesterday.
New Bios Version is [94.02.71.40.B7].

I am surprised for this update .
I dont know it will update Vbios .
I think it only update Precision X1 Version.

So I dont save my old Bios Version file also not remember old vbios number .
it is not my day.

And this new Bios Version is not good work for my card.

When i use New vbios  to play game .
Temperature is highter than old. [OLD:60~63  NEW:63~70]
Make some voise louder than old .
fps is higher than old , but just only 3~5 fps

[if you want , i can give you 3DMark-Firestrike(result) , then you can compare old and new vbios )

So i want to take old VBios to downgrade this .
But in this article , RTX3080 XC3 black origin is [94.02.71.40.B7].

maybe i need some old Bios Version or Previous Bios Version to try it again.
i want my old vbios come back .

because it is silence , lower Temperature for me .

I dnot want to RMA card , because it is NEW card in my hand , only 5 day!
And RMA it is very troublesome for me.
So i need some help .
very thanks for support.

MY OS : Windows 7
After i update my Vbios , I DDU it again , but New vBios still not good work for me

I also find some Old XC3 black Vbios in TechPowerUp , but in there Card all KR not LHR .
i cant use that

ADD--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[FPS --> The upper and lower limits become larger]
like : apex
old vbios average : 130~180
new vbios average : 100~200
upper fps really improve , but lower fps really decline too .
so fps like high and down , not Stablize for my card .
another game either , like PUBG and CSgo

Important GTA (idk why)
In GTA fps is very lower than my old GTX1070
Regardless of old vbios or new vbios , their fps all lower my old GTX1070
Regardless of 1080p , higher setting or lower setting

I think you may have mistaken a VBIOS update for the MCU Firmware update.

For 3080 XC3 LHR cards, such as the XC3 BLACK, there has only been one BIOS for the card (94.02.71.40.B7), which matches the BIOS in this thread.  This means that the graphics card BIOS has not changed, nor would any internal parameters controlled by the BIOS changed.

Now, it's possible that some fan values or profiles may have changed with the update to your MCU.  Using PX1 or Afterburner, you might need to work on the fan control of the card to more finely tune it so that the temperature does not affect the GPU Boost on the card.  However, I would tend to think the performance difference could be chalked up to different drivers or game updates, or other software updates like Windows Updates.

I remember i download Percision X1 firsttime . I open it .
Its running update [something uncertain]  then my card was 100% running .
when it ran over , Percision X1 said :[it cant run in this system , then it close]
because my OS:W7 , Percision X1 Cant use in here.

so i cant understand , something uncertain changed ,
I think maybe vbios , so i come here need help and find any old vBIOS.

if it is not vbios problem , it's MCU Firmware update ?
then how can i do to come back old  MCU Firmware ?

i dont want to use new MCU
And it make my FPS not Stablize in game or in my work

i use the same card drivers and Windows not Updates any .

when MCU Firmware update ,my card run 100% , i am shake .
And Percision X1 cant work in my PC . so i remove it .
i dont change anything . but i discover my card use different than first time.

after MCU Firmware update over , i play game and test 3D mark .
FPS not Stablize , [FPS --> The upper and lower limits become larger]
and average temperature is rise .

so i want to come back , use old setting .
if it is not vbios update , it is MCU Firmware update .

what can i do in here ?

my problem like this : maybe MCU Firmware update problem ?

For those of you with the 3080 FTW3-type LHR cards, give this BIOS a try:  https://www.evga.com/EVGA/GeneralDownloading.aspx?file=4898.zip

Instructions:
•      Download the 4898.zip file.
•      Extract the files to a location on disk.
•      Make sure no programs are running in the background, and double click 4898_Normal_ovu.exe
•      Press "Y" to begin the update.
•      DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS!
•      After update, restart PC.
•      For OC bios(4898_OC_ovu.exe), you must toggle bios switch to the position of OC and do the same process as above.

If successful, I'll add it to the main post.
