Thanks.  Not sure what the difference is between to the two bios but I'm also glad it worked out.  I haven't experienced any performance decreases but what I have noticed is a more stable boost clock  and not jumping between bins.

If you referenced the post by Jacob from October last year, the difference is the card itself. Since then, a LHR model was released, and that meant a different default and XOC BIOS. And, the default BIOS was likely downclocking because it was reaching its power limit. With more power available, it will try to sustain a higher clock until either power or voltage limit is again reached. Temps could have also played a part.

That makes sense....I was aware of LHR cards but for some for reason didn't think it affected me and should have looked into it more closely.  As you stated, that's what I was experiencing with until the bios update.  Temps for the most part were never a factor as its under water.

Water cooling is definitely nice especially if it’s a custom loop. And, I see you deleted the part where you said you wish all the BIOS were in one spot. I was going to say they’re all here from the OP on the main page and that Jacob’s XOC post is almost a year old, whereas Lee’s post was made just this past June and has been updated several times. I know it’s garnered a lot of attention over time, but Jacob’s post should probably be archived at this point.

So I got one RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra LHR Card and in px1 I can only push the Powerlimit to 105 Percent which is 400 Watt, GPU Z also shows only +5% possible from 380 to 400 Watts, arent those supposed to be 450 Watts?

Check the list on the main page if this thread. You need to install the XOC BIOS that has a cap at +118% in PX1. Make sure you download the LHR version of the BIOS, and read through the points about disabling Fast Boot and CSM beforehand. Not doing so could cause problems.

The black only has two 8 pin cables so it's max would be in the 350-375w range. I like to think of the black as an EVGA founders edition.

I was able to flash to the 4897 bios provided by OP.  Power limit 118% and saw over 410watts at times.

So, you got the display working again? What was the issue? Also, 410W sounds about right. That’s what I initially observed after flashing to the same BIOS for the same model card, but I’ve seen as high as 420W.

Issue was not being able to flash the xoc bios posted by Jacob in the other thread.  I then tired the xoc bios posted in this thread and it work.

Glad you got it working. Now, if Nvidia would stop messing with their drivers… I’ve actually seen a small performance decrease in certain games. I was seeing as high as 125 FPS using the Red Dead Redemption 2 benchmark when I first got my 3080 Ti back in June, and now I’m averaging 118. Still a huge increase over the 2080 Ti I was using, but I digress. Again, glad you got it worked out.

I reverted to an early August driver and got my performance back.
