No problems with 2.0.11 on an Intel setup but, when I installed the 2.0.12 version over the previous, the CLC was flagged as removable media. It runs fine and the app/device can't be removed. It's just weird having the systray app popup.

Thanks for this - didn't realize there was a newer version 2.0.12 until I read your post.  It's not listed in the forum and the EVGA software page still lists v.2.0.11.

Will install this shortly.

Update:

Same issue - device comes up as removable and is now identified as a Asetek USB Device.  The driver version is 6.7.2.0 from 2015 (IIRC - I reverted back to v.2.0.11).  From what I've searched so far, you can't disable the "Safe Removal Required" flag for the device as it's a WinUSB based driver.

With v.2.0.11, it's identified as CCVI (ChillControl VI) with a driver v.0.1.0.0 from 2012-06-25.

Is there a reason that 2.0.12 is not listed on the SW downloads page? I found it on the 'Drivers & Bios' page when you choose Closed Loop Coolers. Seeing it was a newer version by ~5 months, I have it installed. I never noticed the CLC was listed as a removable device until I read this forum thread, but sure enough it shows as a "Eject 690LC" on the menu and it cannot be ejected due to being in use (probably a very good thing).

Should 2.0.12 not be used? I am questioning my temps (fluid reports reaching 45c during gaming) but I have no indication it is not correct or related to 2.0.12.

On my mind since having the CLC 240 installed in my new build.  Why is a 64-bit edition of Flow Control being installed into 32-bit “C:\Program Files (x86).”?  The download states 64-bit.  I know that Windows, the WOW64 emulation layer redirects its file access from “C:\Program Files” to “C:\Program Files (x86).” The 32-bit program tries to access the Program Files directory and is pointed to the Program Files (x86) folder. 64-bit programs still use the normal Program Files folder.

I just don't get a product with such bum control software program and has not been refined in how many years?
