is that them saying the current prices are incorrect and will change or the prices for 3080 before were incorrect?
 

no there are only saying that they have problems with the current displays from the prices ... in which direction i can´t say ...   

We can only speculate. But I guess I'll queue up for the 3090 and hope for the best, but I am prepared for disappointment.

It is my assumption as well that the double VAT will be corrected. A buddy of mine from The Netherlands was shown the MSRP of €840,- incl. VAT while signing up for the 3080FTW3 step-up on September 17th. However I just signed up today and was shown the double VAT price of €1017,-.
 
In my opinion a reputable brand like EVGA wouldn't charge some customers €840,- and others much more, so they definitely should correct it.

Why doesnt EVGA respond to this?  I really want to become an EVGA customer, but this makes me a little worried, just want to know the price including VAT (Netherlands over here) for stepping up from a 2080s.

Ok that makes perfect sense. My price is 833.05 which is correct considering it includes VAT for Austria(20%) when compared to the Netherlands(21%) :) I feel relieved now to not have to pay a insance price like 1k.
