When I see these pictures it's scary, especially if I understood correctly, the card was in idle

I am sure that EVGA will Investigate with a Fine Tooth Comb.

One of the other pictures. I wonder what caused this. It kind of looks like it came from the pcb instead of a capacitor failing or another component failing.

There was probably a loose solder ball (or other metal) and that shorted out L64 and also L65 blew.

Glad my Plates have been Removed to install the HC Water Block.

I don’t think the plates caused that. We will probably never get an exact answer unfortunately

My Evga 2080 ti SC Ultra will be here tomorrow. I am kinda worried after seeing this. I may return it for a different brand. Plus I will need to pay extra for next day rma just in case something like that happens.
