Hello Everyone, I purchased a used 1080Ti SC2 yesterday, technically I'll now be the 3rd owner, the person who sold it me had it off with Original owner last year without the invoice during a face to face sale and didn't bother to register the card under his name, I myself do not have any proof of purchase either as I purchased it face to face too.

I've checked the ship date with the support team and it's listed as July 19th 2018 which therefore falls under the new warranty terms. Does this mean I'm unable to register the card for warranty as the new owner?

Many Thanks.

I would suggest talking to the support team and seeing what can be done. While you wait for their response, did you purchase in person, or through PayPal?

Thanks for your reply

I purchased in person, cash in hand. The card is fully boxed with the posters and stickers still intact, the only reason they sold me the 1080Ti is that they'd upgraded to a 2080 card.

  • Secondhand owners should provide a proof of purchase showing the sale between the current owner (i.e. YOU) and previous owner (i.e. the person selling the card).  This may be as simple as a screenshot of a PayPal invoice, Venmo invoice, Amazon Payments invoice, Ebay invoice, etc.  It is understood that sometimes sales are not done online, so another means of showing the sale, even if it's made for the purpose of this proof of purchase, is acceptable.

Thanks for your reply JeffP. I shall try and get a receipt written out, Is there anything in particular that needs to be written on the receipt to qualify for the warranty change over?

PayPal can support PDF printout from any transaction with the Windows 10 print to PDF capability

EVGA wants proof of purchase to determine warranty eligibility, I am registered as primary owner so I have full warranty with upgrade options

Hi,

My problem is a bit complex...

I've just bought used 1080 FTW from original owner. The card is a replacement, as the original broke (1070 FTW). Original card was purchased in June 2017, and the RMA took place in August 2018 (so after 25th May 2018). In such case, does it fall under new or old warranty?

Furthermore, replacement card has never been registered by original owner. When I register, shall I use S/N of the old card, or the new card S/N? Shall I provide original proof of purchase (I got it from the original owner, but it is for different graphic card) or shall I present a proof of my transaction with original owner.

I appreciate any help with making it less complex :)

Thanks

Old warranty. Use the new cards serial number. No invoice is needed.
