Is the shortcut still ctrl+F? Because with MSI afterburner open, that does nothing at all for me. ctrl+L works and locks and unlocks like it's supposed to. I've got version 4.6.2 and it says there are no updates for MSI Afterburner.

I'm hoping someone will still comment. Is it okay to leave the voltage locked? I'm achieving my best clocks with my MSI Seahawk EK GTX 1080 with an ASUS Rog Strix 1080 bios. I have it to 1200mv and I'm stable at 2200mhz w/ memory at 5500mhz. The voltage is pegged at 1200mv all the time - is this bad? Should I unlock and allow the curve to downclock when max performance isn't needed?

I would. Should make the card last longer, and you’ll use less power by doing so.
