All is well!

So after reading your post two days ago I checked the View Optional Updates and saw KB4576945 was indeed present so I clicked to download and waited for the Restart System that took longer than usual to popup than finally it did but upon restarting I was greeted with another Restart System. It seems Microsoft snuck in the Cumulative Preview Update KB4577063 for the first restart I did not give the go ahead for or any idea about it?

Ha-ha what the hell Microsoft .. but whatever all is running well.

somehow win10 magically got reset to download updated right away again ...
So these were already downloaded & waiting on restart instead of the delay of 2 weeks I had for all updates.
... Oh you rascal window 10 ...

Yes I noticed you can't just set it for 21 days (for example), you can only click the "pause updates for 7 more days" up to 5 times, but once that time is reached, it is set back to zero again for all future updates... you have to go back in and reset it every single time to 7/14/21/28/35 days again. Not sure when that changed, but clearly intentional to wear people down.

Not even if under Windows update you Open " Advanced options" ?

My Windows 10 Home, on this laptop is still 1909 --> there is a sound driver issue, that prevents version 2004 update

Correct. Even under advanced options, you can select a specific date up to 35 days in the future, but once you reach that date, you will need to set it again for future updates, and again when that date is hit, and so on. I would prefer to have it set to always delay all updates by ~21 days no matter what, but you can't do that now.
