With all those "fixes & improvements", you'd think it would be a normal update.  Maybe M$ isn't that confident...?  Waiting for the beta testers...?

I've got X58, X79, & X299 systems running 2004 since public release.  I haven't had any issue's that I've noticed.  All were in-place upgrades from v1909.

As stated earlier in the thread...my X299...only issue was Soundblaster Z.  After reinstalling the drivers...all good.  X99 and Skylake laptop are both flawless with 2004.  Mind you both have Realtek sound...

    Improvements and fixes

    This security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:
    • Addresses an issue in Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps that allows single sign-on authentication when an app does not have the Enterprise Authentication capability. With the release of CVE-2020-1509, UWP applications might begin prompting the user for credentials. 
    • Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Internet Explorer, Windows Graphics, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Kernel, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Media, Windows Shell, the Windows Wallet Service, Microsoft Edge Legacy, Windows Cloud Infrastructure, Windows Authentication, the Windows AI Platform, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Update Stack, Windows File Server and Clustering, Windows Hybrid Storage Services, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Microsoft JET Database Engine, and Windows SQL components.
    If you installed earlier updates, only the new fixes contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

Thanks for the info, might go ahead and update.  I frantically hit the "pause for 7 days" button yesterday when I realized it was patch Tuesday.  Really annoyed they got rid of the advanced options for Professional where you could delay standard updates for one timeframe and majors for a different one.  I used to have standard updates on a permanent 5 day delay so I could monitor for news about botched updates since they've been botched so often.

after reinstalling backwards 1 series of the Nvidia drivers and then these updates - I haven't seen anymore weird flashing/ blinking out...so... * fingers crossed *
