Just a warning for those who might want to use SpeedFan on a gaming PC, BattlEye actively kills SpeedFan now. You can read more about the issue here:

So basically if you're planning to play any games with BattlEye anticheat, I would find a solution other than SpeedFan.

I would call that malware.

I'm assuming it's killing the executable, and because you said it won't work until the next reboot it is killing the system service too (...yup it is).  How is that ok?

Hopefully everyone checked the "Set fans to 100% on program exit" box.  I'll stick a link to your post on the first page.

I have had my radiator fans controlled via BIOS and a little custom circuit monitoring CPU temp only.

Really? Why do you need a custom circuit when just about every motherboard has fan header controlled by CPU temp? I my case, the FTW-K has two. I run 4 Noctua 140mm on a H110i. Using a 4 wire PWM splitter cable they just plug in. ~380rpm at idle ramping up to 35% at 60C...basically inaudible and uses zero system resources.

There really needs to be some modern alternative to speed fan. FanControl works ok but I hate the super-modern ui.
